Plassoft Tecnologia Ltda. was established in 1997 with the mission of providing training, technology, educational programs and information for the plastics industry, and also developing software and Internet products.

With integrated expertise in plastics technology, training and software development, Plassoft has created InjePro software and has also been involved in the development of other educational programs, using advanced multimedia resources and techniques for adult education and training.

In 2010, Plassoft launched Blog do Plástico, an on-line publication in Portuguese designed to provide updated information for the plastics industry.

In the same year, it also launched the portal BrazilianPlastics.com, published on-line in English, aimed at disseminating information around the globe about the Brazilian plastics market.

Plassoft also organizes technical seminars with international experts in plastics processing technologies, such as the "Scientific Molding" seminar which was delivered in the brazilian cities of São Paulo, Caxias do Sul, Canoas, Curitiba and Joinville in November/December, 2010 by Bill Tobin, a renowned american specialist in plastic injection molding.

Other educational publications of Plassoft Tecnologia Ltda. include the book "Defects in Plastics Injection Molding," published in 1997, authored by Ron Eng Maraghi, Ph.D., Canadian expert with more than 40 years of practical experience in the Plastics Processing Industry.

Plassoft represents in Brazil the Korean company VMTech, the developer of MAPS 3D - Plastics Mold Application and Solutions in three dimension, a simulation software for injection molding. MAPS 3D has been used by many companies in the plastics segment to simulate and analyze the injection mold process before the mold is built, therefore optmizing mold making and avoiding waste and rework.

Plassoft also develops customized software, tailored to meet specific needs of clients, being able to timely implement cost-effective projects.

Software projects developed by Plassoft for other areas include SIGSEC, which is a management system for educational institutions, comprising the follow-up of student performance, data management of teachers, staff and school units.

Plassoft has partnerships with institutions, associations and national and international companies related to the plastics industry and software sector. InjePro software is supported by the Brazilian Plastics Institute (INP), a technical organization that fosters the development of the Plastics sector in Brazil. Plassoft is associated with SOFTEX Salvador, an organization that aims to stimulate the export of software "made in Brazil."

Plassoft´s international partnerships include WJT Associates, an american consultancy company on plastics, the Vlaams Kunststofcentrum, a technology center for the Plastics industry in Belgium, VMTech Co, a Korean developer of software, Editorial Costa Nogal, publisher of Revista Ingenieria Plastica in Uruguay and Mexico and Editorial Emma Fiorentino, publisher of magazines for the plastics segment in Argentina.
