In case you have doubts or problems when using  InjePro, use the following information for troubleshooting. Information is classified according to the situation where the problem occurs:

  1. At the installation;
  2. During the start-up of InjePro / introductory screens;
  3. When navigating the course's screens;
  4. When displaying / printing the evaluation reports.

1 - At the installation:

PROBLEM
LIKELY CAUSE

Message " Installation aborted " appears, after the installation program informs that the screen configuration is different from 800 x 600.   Windows screen configuration is different from 800 x 600.  

Change Windows screen settings to 800 x 600. The screen configuration should also be set to High Color (64 K colors). To do that, follow instructions in InjePro's manual, Section 2, item 2, entitled "Configuring Windows'screen. Then restart the installation program.

 

Message " System error " appears. It informs that " Windows can not read from CD-ROM drive ".   a) InjePro's CD is not in the CD-ROM drive

b)CD-ROM drive used to install the software has an old configuration and can not read CD Recordable disks properly.

 
  • Insert one of the InjePro's CD's into the CD-ROM drive.
  • Use a computer with a new configuration CD-ROM drive (minimum 8 speed / desirable 40 speed) to install the software.

 

InjePro's icons are not created and displayed in the "Start", "Programs" menu, after the installation program is completed.   Probably your computer is running with some background software (such as some versions of anti-virus, screen-savers, Norton Desktop, PC Tools, etc.) which might sometimes reject the creation of icons  
  • Run the installation program again and see if the icons were created this time.
  • If item "a" does not work, please reboot your computer and then run the installation program again.
  • If none of the above works, please disable the background softwares which are running in your computer and, then, run the installation program again.

 

2 - During the start-up of InjePro / introductory screens.

After clicking one of InjePro's program icons in the start Menu, the message " Hardlock eye not found " appears.   The hardlock is not attached to the computer.  

Attach the hardlock to the parallel port of the computer. Procedures can be found in InjePro's manual, Section 2, item 3, entitled "Attaching the hardlock to the parallel port".

 

After clicking one of InjePro's program icons in the start Menu, the message " Can not open hardlock drive " appears.  

Probably, you are using a new version of Windows. Your hardlock works together with driver files , which are copied to your hard disk during the installation of InjePro. Although we always update our package with the latest versions of "hardlock.vxd", it might rarely happen that you got a new realease of Windows which needs a brand new driver file.

 

 

Run the file "hldrv32.exe".

If the problem is not solved, please, request us an driver update.

After clicking one of InjePro's program icons in the start Menu, the computer is blocked and you need to restart it.   Probably, you are using a computer which has pre-installed Windows 98 or Windows 95 Plus software and your the driver file "hardlock.vxd" is configured for earlier versions of Windows 95. The hardlock works together with this file, which is copied to your hard disk during the installation of InjePro.   a) For users who have the evaluation version of InjePro's disks: request an updated "hardlock.vxd" and then copy it to your "C:\Injepro" directory, to replace the existing file.

b) For other users, run the file "hldrv32.exe".

If the problem is not solved, Please, request us an driver update.

 

The narration of a certain text is interrupted by the narration of another text, which starts suddenly.   This probably occurs because your CD ROM drive is slower than 8 speed.  

To improve the performance of the narration, the only choice is to run InjePro in a computer with a higher speed CD-ROM drive (The ideal speed is 24 x or above).

 

Narration is too loud or too low .   Loudness of the computer needs to be properly set.   There are two possibilities to control the loudness of InjePro.
  1. To control the volume level in the Windows Panel.
  2. To control the volume of the speakers (most speakers have volume control knobs).

Increase or reduce the volume, to reach an optimal loudness level on your computer.

 

InjePro starts, but after the "copyright screen" is displayed, the program exits to Windows desktop screen . This event might happen without pressing the "Forward" button, a while after the screen is displayed or right after the "Forward" button is pressed.  
  • Faulty floppy disk.
  • InjePro's CD is not in the CD-ROM drive (if its is the first time that the trainee uses InjePro).
  1. a) Remove the floppy disk from the drive. Don't start InjePro with this disk in the drive. Otherwise, problem will persist.

b) Insert a blank diskette in the floppy disk drive.

c) Start InjePro.

2. Select the InjePro's CD that corresponds to the Module you are studying and insert it into the CD-ROM drive, before starting InjePro. Then, start the software.

 

There is no narration of the lessons, although the texts and pictures are displayed normally.   The disk that corresponds to the module you are studying is not in the CD-ROM drive.

The noise level you hear is somehow high ..   Unproper balance of loudness controls in the Windows Panel and speaker knobs.  

To reduce the noise level, you should reduce the volume in the Windows panel and compensate that reduction by increasing the loudness of your speakers. Try to balance both controls (in Windows'panel and in the speaker) to optimize the quality of the narration.

 

Message " Error number 70 has occured " while starting or ending InjePro

 

  Floppy-disk is write protected.   Unblock the diskette's write protection windows.
Message " Error number 57 has occurred " while starting.  
  • Faulty floppy disk
  • Trainee's file became corrupted.
 

Remove the diskette from the drive

Insert a blank diskette

Re-start InjePro.

 

Message " Error number 75 has occurred " while starting.  
  • Faulty floppy disk
  • Trainee's file became corrupted.
 

Remove the diskette from the drive

Insert a blank diskette

Re-start InjePro.

 

3 - When navigating the course's screens.

SOLUTION
         

When moving from one screen to another or after clicking an underlined word or button inside a screen, the message " invalid format " is displayed.

 

  Some of InjePro's files might have become corrupted, during the use of InjePro.  

Reinstall the software

Re-start InjePro

When moving from one screen to another or after clicking an underlined word or button inside a screen, one of the following messages will appear: " file not found ", " path not found " , " disk not ready ", " file not correct " or " device I/O error ". Then, the program quits.

 

  Some of InjePro's files might have become corrupted, during the use of InjePro.  

Reinstall the software

Re-start InjePro

Animation is not shown : a blank rectangle with a pink frame is displayed, when clicking on an underlined word or button, or going from one screen to another.

 

  Insufficient RAM memory.   Please, try running InjePro in a Computer with a higher RAM memory (Ideal configuration is 32 Mbytes RAM or higher).
Video footage is not shown : A blank square with an orange frame is displayed, when clicking on a video button or underlined word  
  • Insufficient RAM memory
  • Video drivers are not installed in the computer.
 
  • Please, try running InjePro in a Computer with a higher RAM memory (Ideal configuration is 32 Mbytes RAM).
  • Reinstall InjePro. At the end of the installation, it will ask if you want to install "Video for Windows" in your computer. Click on "Install".

3.6) InjePro suddenly exits to the desktop screen-very rare problem: normally occurs when an animation is run.   Your computer has low memory available, low hard-disk space available and memory resident programs running in the back-ground.  

Disable anti-virus or other memory resident programs while running InjePro.

Increase your hard disk space available (try to remove unnecessary files and programs)

Please, try running InjePro in a Computer with a higher RAM memory (Ideal configuration is 32 Mbytes RAM or higher).

Narration of a text becomes temporarily intermitent  

Memory resident programs (anti-virus, etc.) are scanning your computer, while the text is being narrated

 

  Disable anti-virus or other memory resident programs while running InjePro.
Message " No current record " is displayed and the software exits.  
  • Low hard disk space available
  • CD ROM drive is slower than 8 speed.
 
  • Increase your hard disk space available (try to remove unnecessary files and programs)
  • Run InjePro in a computer with a higher speed CD-ROM drive (The ideal speed is 24 x or above).
  • Re-start InjePro, after taking the measures above.

 

Colors of pictures and animations are not nice.   Your Windows screen is set with a configuration lower than 64 K Colors (Hi-color)  

Configure Windows to run at 64 K colors. To do that, refer to instructions in the User's manual, Section 2, item 2, entitled "Configuring Windows'screen.

4 - When displaying / printing the evaluation reports.

SOLUTION
         
The message " error in formula " is displayed, after the buttons "Global evaluation" or "Detailed evaluation" are pressed.  

Probably the name or the employee number were typed with a ' sign, in the registration screen. (such as in Johanna D'Arc).InjePro's programming can not handle this sign.

 

  Please, use another diskette to start InjePro. When requested, please typewrite your name or employee number without the ' sign.

The message " unable to connect " is displayed, after the buttons "Global evaluation" or "Detailed evaluation" are pressed.

 

  Probably, some Windows fonts files are corrupted.   Reinstall Windows. After installation, restart InjePro.
